Mark is a Father of three, Michael, Matthew and Shannon. Husband to Maria Langston. Grandfather to Jason, Eva and Gus.
Mark's wife Maria has served on the Maplewood-Richmond Heights Board of Education for three terms.
At birth Mark was placed in the St. Ann's Orphanage in north St. Louis city.
Mark was adopted by Perry and Jean Langston and grew up in University City with his older brother Pete.
Mark attended Our Lady of Lourdes grade school and graduated from University City High School. After college Mark went to work in the radio business where Mark worked at KADI-FM, KSD-FM and WIL-FM for more than 25 years as an On-Air Announcer and Music Director.
In 2001 Mark Langston was elected Mayor of the City of Maplewood and served his community for two-four year terms.
Mark currently works for the Greater St. Louis Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America as a Program Aide.

The St.Louis County government can be a real asset through a closer partnership identifing the challenges and oppertunities facing our communities in St. Louis County.
My family is proud to live in the 5th District of St. Louis County.

While Mayor, I supported and passed legislation that restricted the use and abuse of emanate domain.
While Mayor, I was involved in the largest economic development in the City of Maplewood.
As Mayor I worked closely with neighboring cities to consolidate city services to save tax payers money.
While Mayor of the City of Maplewood, we increased the city revenue from $8.3 million dollars in 2000 to $16 milloion in 2010 - WITHOUT raising taxes.
While I was Mayor of the City of Maplewood, we increased sales tax revenue from $1.5 million dollars in 2000 to $6 million dollars in 2010.
As Mayor I was involved with the Hanley Road corridor and the building of Metro Link.
I truly understand the issues and challenges of inner ring communities of St. Louis County.
While Mayor, I served on the St. Louis County Municiaple League - Legislative Priorities Committee.
Maplewood-Richmond Heights Youth Sports - Board Member.
